Lumecca
Lumecca uses an intense pulse light, or IPL technology. With the Lumecca-I adaptor, Lumecca delivers precise, targeted, spot-size IPL procedures to treat inflammatory conditions in smaller zones. Thanks to advances in this system, this IPL has a greater result in fewer treatments than other IPL systems. Lumecca stimulates the fibroblasts in the skin to produce new collagen and elastin which can be used to treat a number of skin imperfections such as evening complexion, brightening skin, and reducing appearance of sun damage, pigmentation, and redness. However, in our office, the Lumecca is used for treating dry eye.

Forma I
Primarily used for skin tightening, Forma uses radiofrequency technology to boost collagen formation that leaves the patient with firm, toned, youthful looking skin. Forma-I (bipolar radiofrequency) addresses the symptoms of dry eye disease (DED) caused by Meibomian Gland Dysfunction (MGD). We use this on the upper and lower lid areas to reduce and relieve inflammation of meibomian glands that cause eye irritation.​ The compact size reaches optimal treatment temperatures up to 43°C, providing comfortable, precise, and uniform volumetric deep heating. Designed with unprecedented ocular safety, the small-size applicator, precision RF depth control, and intelligent epidermal monitoring with continuous feedback, all work to ensure Forma-I is a safe non-drug alternative for millions of dry eye and MGD sufferers.
